Faith is a place of mystery where we find the COURAGE to BELIEVE in what we cannot see and the strength to let go of our fear of uncertainty. Dr. Brene Brown
As we enter into the holiday season may we be grateful for our life, our energy tools from Healing Touch and the ability to be present with our family and friends. Christmas is the season to make peace and be a peacemaker. It is the season of “peace on earth, good will toward men/women.” (The Purpose of Christmas by Rick Warren)
Are you allowing people who have hurt you in the past to continue to hurt you now? Every time you rehearse and replay in your mind what happened, you allow them to hurt you again. Resentment is self-destructive and hurts you the most and prolongs the pain. While the people who hurt you go on with their lives, resentment causes you to get stuck in the past.
LET IT GO! Take the initiative to promote FORGIVENESS and reconciliation. Be a PEACEMAKER and practice Forgiveness which takes care of the past. Reconcile the relationship with respect and love knowing that you may agree to disagree. Resolution of the problem becomes more manageable so that you can focus on rebuilding TRUST. Trust takes care of the future and is earned over time.
Who do you need to make PEACE with this Christmas? Here is a Forgiveness Affirmation that Jack Canfield, author of Chicken Soup for the Soul shared with me in 1993 at one of his workshops. Learning to forgive has been transformative in my life. Are you ready to transform your life?
Would love to read your thoughts on my blog!
AFFIRM your FORGIVENESS away:
“I open myself to forgiveness by releasing myself from all the demands, hurts and judgments that have kept me limited. I am allowing myself to be free of emotional pain, to forgive others and myself and to live in joy, love and peace. I allow myself to create fulfilling relationships, to enjoy laughing, to experience pleasure, and to know that I am worthy and deserving of a peaceful heart . I am now living from a forgiveness heart, cutting all chords of unforgiveness and in that process: I am releasing all others from any demands and expectations I have placed upon them. I am choosing to be free. I allow others to be free. I am forgiving myself and I forgive others. And so it is.”
