There are six different levels of Healing Touch a person can take. Level 1 teaches the basics of energy work. Level 2 focuses on back techniques and treating a client. Level 3 looks at the energy field and how to increase your vibration to health. Level 4 and 5 are in residence workshops to prepare you to become a healing touch practitioner. Level 6 is Instructor training. Continuing Education Hours can be obtained by taking one of these courses. Each level must be taken in sequential order.
About: History
The Healing Touch Program was developed by Janet Mentgen, RN, B.S.N., in Denver, Colorado. She first offered it in the U.S. in 1989. In 1990, it came to Canada and now there is a Canadian office for Healing Touch Canada Association and Healing Touch Foundation.

Healing Touch is used is used in a variety of work environments. People who practice Healing Touch are nurses, lay people, physicians, social workers, counsellors, massage therapists, teachers and business personnel. Professions that benefit greatly from using HT are all types of nursing, social workers, counsellors, hospice and geriatric care. HT compliments traditional health care and presents a holistic approach to the client.
